Keiway Mining & Technology College is a privately owned institution governed by a Board of Directors assisted by a team of senior personnel responsible for managing institutional operations through administrative units and departments. Additionally, the Admissions Committee and the Student Government councils have the power to make reports and recommendations to the Board of Directors in matters pertaining to their areas.

Director & Founder

Samuel has over twenty(20) years experience in the Banking, Education, ICT, and Mining sectors. Immediately before coming to Kenya to launch Keiway Mining Company, he was Vice-President of Applications Development at Wells Fargo Bank, a world's leading financial institution in USA. Before then, he had held several positions as Senior Information Systems Specialist developing e-government solutions for the state of Iowa, and as a Senior Systems Analyst at Washington State University in United States.

Currently, he is the founder and owner of Keiway Holdings Limited, a company currently actively engaged in ICT and Mining activities in Kenya and USA. As the Director at the college, Samuel brings unique insight and perspective gained through his experiences living in USA, Italy, and Germany.

Samuel is a graduate of Washington State University with a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration (Instructional Technologies), and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the same university. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nairobi.

David Maina
Director, Mining & Geoscience Centre

Currently serving as director of Mining & Geoscience programs, Duncan is a researcher and consultant. Having studied in Japan for his masters in Engineering, he has vast experience in geosciences and geotechnical works. He worked on both public and private companies which includes East Africa Portland cement, ministry of mining and Kenya Urban Roads(KURA), Camac energy (USA), Geomine engineers (Kenya) and Sumitomo Mining Metals (Japan).

He is one of the co-founders of Mining Engineers Society of Kenya and a Member of International Society Of Rock Mechanics(ISRM).He is competent on researches and projects in oil & gas, geothermal, mining, tunneling, underground mining, Geotechnical exploration , dams and roads construction.

Duncan, holds a Masters degree in Geo-technical Engineering from Japan and a bachelor's degree in Minerals Resource Processing Engineering from JKUAT, Kenya. He imparts technical skills and knowledge to our students and assist them on learning modern technology applied in geoscience and related engineering fields to enable them to work efficiently with geoscientists in the office and in the field.
